Hello and thanks for visiting us!
Amy & I have attended church here since the last millennium 😊. We became the Youth Directors in 2006 and led the youth ministry until February 2021. At this point, we both had become licensed pastors in the Wesleyan Church and transitioned into new roles. Amy was the Mission Pastor, and I was the Operations Pastor. We were both ordained in the Wesleyan Church in August of 2022. We continued to serve in our previous roles until April of 2023 when the church called us to be Co-Lead Pastors of Flint First.
From the time that I first started attending, it was clear that this church loves people. Amy & I were blessed to befriend many couples that invested into us as a young married couple. A lot has changed around Flint in the last few decades, but the love and heart for the lost in our communities has not changed here. We still strive to be the hands and feet of Jesus to the world through our various outreach and service events.
We believe that when Jesus walked the earth, He was fully man and fully God. Through His crucifixion on the cross, He paid the penalty for the sins of the world. Through the Father’s grace and mercy, the love, obedience, and sacrifice of the Son, and the gift of the Holy Spirit, God has made a way for all who repent for their sins and believe that Jesus Christ died and rose from the dead to permanently commune with Him in eternity. If this sounds like you, or if you have more questions, we encourage you to join us either on Sunday mornings at 9:30 am for Bible Study or 10:45 am for our Sunday service. Or, you can join us on Wednesday nights for our community meal at 6:00 pm, then stay for a small group at 6:30 pm. You can check out our various groups for all ages here.
Our worship services have a contemporary edge and our dress is casual. Jeans, no problem, shorts, absolutely! Shirt and tie, come on in.
We’d be happy to meet you!
