Children's MinistryNURSERY/TODDLER
Our nursery/toddler staff welcomes you and your child(ren) for Life Groups and Sunday morning worship service! Care is provided on Sunday mornings beginning at 9:15 a.m. Our family friendly nursery is located at the foot of the stairs on the west end of our children’s wing (the steps nearest the coffee corner). Nursery care is specially designed for infants through 36 months. There is a room in the nursery for nursing mothers if they wish to have privacy while breastfeeding their babies. The first time you leave your child in our care we ask that you register your child with out KidCheck system. This provides us important information about your child. No children will be allowed to be left in the nursery until two nursery/toddler workers are present. All workers are safe place certified and must pass a background check before being allowed to work in the Children's Ministry Program. KIDS CHURCH Our preschool (potty trained) through 5th grade age Jr. Church Program is offered beginning at 9:15 a.m. on Sunday mornings and is designed to assist parents in guiding children into a relationship with God and grounding them in God's Word so that they may grow in that relationship. In order to do this, on Sundays we offer a more formal church program where a Bible lesson is taught in a fun, inviting way that the kids can relation to. We have themes such as discipleship, faith, prayer, etc., along with Bible stories. We offer the Bible lessons along with practical ways to implement God's teachings into their everyday lives. Children are challenged to read their Bibles at home and pray for each other. We help the kids memorize things such as the books of the Bible, The Lord's Prayer, and various Bible verses. The children get a chance to recite this for a trip to the treasure chest! We also have praise and worship time every Sunday where we encourage the children to express themselves freely in their own personal worship of our Lord. The first time you leave your child in our care we ask that you register your child with our KidCheck system. This provides us important information about your child. No children will be allowed to be left in the room until two children's workers are present. All workers are safe place certified and must pass a background check before being allowed to work in the Children's Ministry Program. OTHER INFORMATION Wednesday evenings are completely focused on outreach and designed to be more casual so that the children can unwind after a busy day at school. This program begins at 6:30 p.m. Once, about every other month, we go out into the community to do a service project of some sort. The other weeks we work on projects we can do in-house to share God's love with other people. Our goal is to establish a norm of learning how to be a disciple and going out into the community with the intention of making new disciples. |
